All My Relations Volume 3 is an art and lit, online and printed magazine, exploring the theme of belonging. This volume is open to BIPOC, LGBTIQA2+, and disabled creatives only, in consideration of the theme.
We are not looking for graphic or traumatic stories or dark fictional pieces written for shock value. We do not require that you center your or your relations’ traumas. And we are not interested in the single story of harm and suffering.
We are looking for honest pieces reflecting on your feelings of belonging, pieces commemorating your memories (or imaginations if memories don’t exist) of being in community with your relatives (whoever your relatives are to you), pieces exploring the myriad of feelings that come from belonging, pieces exploring how it feels to not belong, pieces explaining rituals (either cultural or adopted) that help you feel connected to your ancestors, musings on alternate universes where everyone always belongs, reflections on a utopian future, etc. We are looking for pieces that honor your communities, honor your journey towards belonging, imagine the absence of otherization, and/or aid in communal healing.
